Orange Cake

Had a friends Birthday the other night and thought it would be nice to make a cake. This is a little more of a grown up cake, very moist and very orangey…


1 ½ Cup Plain Flour
1 ½ Cup Sugar
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Bicarb soda (only if baking at altitude)
Pinch Salt
2 Oranges
3 Eggs
¾ Cup Milk
250g Cream Cheese

Boil oranges for 2 hrs then blend until smooth.
Beat Cream Cheese, eggs and sugar together until smooth, then slowly add Orange and Milk.
in a separate bowl mix together all other ingredients, and form a well to slowly mix in wet ingredients.
Once smooth poor into a pre lined cake tin and bake at 180˚C (350˚F) for 50 mins.
